Public Meeting: Local Councils - Making a Green difference

Copy from Green Party Central Bedfordshire:

Can local councillors actually change anything important? Is it even worth voting in local elections?

Yes, absolutely! Your elected councillors are responsible for a lot more than bins and potholes, and their election can hang on just a handful of votes.

Come and hear Bedford Green Councillors Lucy Bywater and Ben Foley explain what your council representatives can achieve. They will be joined by parish councillors Susan Clinch (Ampthill) and Gareth Ellis (Flitton and Greenfield).

Event details: 7-8.30pm, Tuesday 26th April, Meeting Room 2, Parkside Hall, Ampthill.Parking available, Please enter via side door from pathway to rear of building.

We need big changes to tackle climate change, create a fairer society and build community, and Central Beds Council just isn't moving fast enough. Talk to councillors who are making a change, ask them about what they do, join a lively discussion about how we can improve things.

This is presented by the Green Party, but open to all. If you're coming, we would like it if you could let us know, but it's not essential. And it would be great if you could forward this invite to a friend or a family member, or bring them along - even (especially?) if they have different views to you.
