Spicy Oven-Roasted Cauliflower

Spicy, oven-roasted cauliflower


Makes 2 snack portion

Time: 10 minutes prep + 30 minutes cooking


½ cauliflower, about 500g

3 tbsp olive oil

Pinch of chilli powder

2 tsp mild curry powder

Pinch of ground allspice

½ tsp ground cumin

Pinch of ground turmeric

3 slightly heaped tsp Thai chilli paste


  1. Preheat oven to 190C.

  2. Split the cauliflower into florets and place into a bowl.

  3. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.

  4. Put the oil into a bowl with the spices and chilli paste, mix together with a fork until all the ingredients make a smooth paste.

  5. Use your hands or a pastry brush to distribute the spicy paste all over the cauliflower florets.

  6. Spread the cauliflower over the baking tray and bake in the centre of the over for 25 – 30 minutes.

  7. Use toothpick (or skewer) to test whether it is cooked; it should pass through a floret with no resistance.
